MRI BRAIN AND IACs WITH AND WITHOUT CONTRAST

TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar, multisequence MR imaging of the brain and temporal bones was performed before and after the intravenous administration of 6 mL Gadavist contrast.

FINDINGS:

There is no abnormal mass or pathologic enhancement of the IACs. The cranial nerve VII and VIII complexes appear normal. The inner ear structures are unremarkable.

There is no restricted diffusion. There is a single nonspecific T2
hyperintense white matter focus in the right frontal lobe. There is no intracranial mass lesion, mass effect, midline shift,
hydrocephalus, parenchymal hemorrhage, or abnormal extra-axial fluid collection. The major T2 intracranial arterial flow voids appear grossly normal. Dural venous sinuses appear patent. Midline structures are unremarkable.

The mastoid air cells and paranasal sinuses appear clear.

No pathologic-appearing intracranial postcontrast enhancement.
